Grants Manager, Spectrum Dance Theater

Meghan Villanueva was born and raised in the Seattle area. She holds a BA in Music and English from Santa Clara University and a Masters of Music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She served as the Administrative Director for Pacific Music Works (previously Pacific Operworks) bringing William Kentridge’s "The Return of Ulysses" to Seattle and San Francisco, working closely with both SFMOMA and The Henry to create cross genre programming and marketing campaigns. She has spent time in the corporate world at Expeditors International, a Fortune 500 company, specializing in both external and internal communication strategies and brand development. She is currently the Grants Manager for Spectrum Dance Theater and a development consultant. Since joining Spectrum’s team in 2014, Spectrum has seen record breaking press coverage for their #RACEish season, a triple digit increase in season subscription sales, strengthened branding strategies and embarked on a three year strategic plan to increase capacity. She is a guest speaker for Seattle University's Arts Leadership Department and volunteers for Seattle’s Make A Wish Foundation. Meghan has a voracious love for the arts, and believes strongly in making art accessible to our youth to ensure future success.
